What data of yours do we process? And for what purposes?

We process the data that you have sent to us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or possibly other open positions in our company) and to conduct the application process.

On what legal basis does this processing take place?

The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b), Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG. Accordingly, processing of data is permissible that is necessary in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. Should the data be required for legal proceedings after the conclusion of the application process, processing may be based on the conditions of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular for the assertion or defense of legal claims.

How long will the data be stored?

Data of applicants will be deleted after 6 months in case of rejection. In the event that you have consented to the further storage of your personal data, we will include your data in our applicant pool. There, the data will be deleted after two years. If you are selected for a position within the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel information system.

To whom will the data be disclosed?

We use a specialized software provider for the application process. This provider acts as a processor for us and may receive knowledge of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and servicing of the systems. We have concluded a data processing agreement with this provider to ensure that data processing is carried out in a permissible manner. Your application data will be reviewed by the HR department upon receipt of your application. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department heads for the respective open position. The further procedure will then be coordinated. In the company, only those persons have access to your data who require it for the proper conduct of our application process.

Where will the data be processed?

The data will be processed exclusively in data centers located in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Your rights as an "affected person"

You have the right to information about the personal data processed by us concerning your person. In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may require evidence from you to prove that you are the person you claim to be. Furthermore, you have the right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing to the extent provided by law. You also have the right to object to processing within the framework of legal requirements. The same applies to the right to data portability. You have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of personal data by us with a supervisory authority for data protection.

Privacy notice regarding the storage of applicant data after the conclusion of the application process

Only with your express consent will we review your application for possible future opportunities in our company after the conclusion of the application process and contact you.

For this purpose, we store the personal data that we have received during the entire application process (e.g., in cover letters, resumes, certificates, applicant questionnaires, applicant interviews) beyond the end of the specific application process. If you have provided "special categories of personal data" in your application letter or other documents submitted by you during the application process, your consent also applies to this data.

This consent also applies to data about your qualifications and activities from generally accessible data sources (especially professional social networks) that the employer has lawfully collected in the context of the application process. You can revoke your consent at any time. In this case, your data will then be deleted to the extent that no further claims are to be expected from the application process.
